But, when it comes to the infant car seat decision, I can certainly help make the decision easier for you. We went with the UPPAbaby MESA for our son and we couldn’t be happier that we did! Here’s why!

DESIGNED FOR A GOOD FIT
Car seat safety also depends heavily on how well your child fits in the seat. The MESA offers a variety of ways to make sure your baby fits properly. The MESA’s infant insert is ideal when your baby is between 4 and 8 pounds with a built-in wedge that creates a flatter and safer riding position for preemies and small newborns. My son was 6 pounds 9 ounces when he was born. So having this was super helpful! But as he grew, the MESA’s adjustable harness and crotch strap settings allowed us to make sure he was still sitting in the seat properly. The MESA accommodates babies up to 35 pounds and 32 inches tall, so we were actually able to keep my son in the seat for his first year!
STROLLER COMPATIBLE
As an infant (and even now) my son was and is a car sleeper. So he spent a lot of time in the MESA. The fact that it snaps right into the UPPAbaby VISTA made life SO much easier. The car seat was easy enough to snap in and then press one button to snap out of the base and then into the VISTA, that I could do it in one motion and never wake the baby. EASY TO CLEAN
With a baby, things always seem to get dirty before you even really use them. Super annoying! Luckily, the MESA’s fabric (seat pad, infant inserts, buckle pads and shoulder pads) are easy to wash. All are machine washable in cold water on gentle cycle with mild detergent. I would dry flat and away from direct sunlight to get them looking like new again. The harness webbing and canopy are easy to spot clean with mild detergent and warm water. Plastic could be cleaned the same way.
BONUS: THE LOOK
