Where Can I Make Mom Friends? | Stamford Moms

After becoming a mom… the number of questions each of us has is endless. One of the ones that is a little unexpected but inevitably pops up for each of us is, “Where do I go to meet other moms?” We’re all looking for other people who can relate to the new place we’re in, in our lives… and who have kids that will play with ours while we attempt to have a grown up conversation.

But, it’s not always easy to find a place to go to meet other moms, especially before our children are in school. So, we’ve put together a list of playgroups and mom groups in our area that are a great way to meet one another in person!

FIT4MOM
FIT4MOM is a prenatal and postnatal fitness program, providing fitness classes and a network of moms to support every stage of motherhood. There are a number of locations in Fairfield County where classes are offered. It holds a special place in my heart because it’s where I met my best mom friends when my son was 6 weeks old!

The Parent Collective Postpartum Support Group
This group is a great way to find support, information and friendship! Each week there is a new topic and discussion facilitated by a pediatric nurse, IBCLC or postpartum specialist. I found that this group is a great way to get helpful parenting information and meet other moms with babies around the same age as mine! Information about the current session is available here!

Music Together Classes
Classes are available throughout Fairfield County for children of all ages. The baby classes for 0 – 7 months and mixd age classes are a great way to meet other moms (I have made friends at both class levels)!

Mommy & Me Yoga
Tuesdays, 11:15 a.m.
Family Tree Yoga
This is a really adorable way to bond with your baby and socialize with other moms! I also connected with many moms who have babies the same age as mine at these classes!
