Looking for a way to keep everyone entertained on Saturday mornings this summer? Head to Stamford Downtown where you’ll find several family friendly options to keep everyone having fun! Here are a few of our favorite ideas!
Grab Coffee & Breakfast
Stamford Downtown has several options for grabbing coffee and breakfast for families. Turning Point Coffee Roasters at the Urby, Lorca Coffee Bar, Winfield Street Coffee, Honey Joe’s Family Coffeehouse and Verde Galerie are all perfect options. Be sure to hang out so that you’re kids can play in the awesome play space at Honey Joe’s!
Farmer’s Market
Take your coffee to go and head over to the farmer’s market at Veterans Memorial Park, 130 Atlantic Street! The market is open 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturdays and features some wonderful vendors! The kids will love picking out fruits and veggies, maybe even a pastry or two!
Take a Tour of HedgeFun
Take a walk around Stamford Downtown and count how many of the HedgeFun exhibits you can spot! There are 16 animal topiaries on the streets and parks of the Downtown… including a dinosaur, teddy bear, kangaroo and flying pigs!
Enjoy the Activities at Mill River Park
Head to the carousel at Mill River Park to enjoy the Fun Saturday Morning entertainment! Live entertainment is scheduled for Saturdays, 10 a.m. – noon during the summer. Also, take the kids on a carousel ride! The carousel opens at 9 a.m. on Saturday mornings.
In addition, Art in the Park will host activities at the Whittingham Discovery Center on Saturdays, 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. through August 13 and features free workshops for kids and families!
Take Home a Book from the Ferguson Library
Don’t forget to stop at the Ferguson Library’s main branch to pick out some books to continue summer reading! If you haven’t already, be sure to sign the kids up for the Ferguson Library’s Kids Summer Learning Club!
Have Fun at Stamford Town Center
Experience some of the fun attractions at Stamford Town Center! Let the kids test their skills at the Soccer Fun Zone, enjoy the playscapes and games at The Fun Palace and explore Barnes and Noble!
Take a Ride
Take a ride on the complimentary Harbor Point Trolley! With several stops in Stamford Downtown, it’s a fun way to see the city!
