Keep Your Kids Reading this Summer! | Stamford Moms

If you’re looking for fun ways to keep your children reading this summer, we have a few options thanks to the Ferguson Library, Cradle to Career and Barnes and Noble in Stamford! Check out all the details, below!

Ferguson Library

The Ferguson Library’s Kids Summer Learning Club is for children from birth to entering 5th grade. It kicks off on Saturday, June 25 with the Kids Summer Learning Club Kickoff Concert at 11 a.m. in the Main Library Third Floor Auditorium and Kids Summer Learning Club Fun with Chalk at 3 p.m. on the Harry Bennett Branch lawn! The program continues through Wednesday, August 31.

During this time, visit any location of The Ferguson Library to pick up a paper tracking log or to register yourself on a computer. Just for joining the Summer Learning Program, you’ll receive a FREE water bottle!

Earn 500 points and become a FINISHER of the Summer Learning Club! Earn points by reading or completing BINGO board missions. Log your time spent reading online with ReadSquared, through the ReadSquared app, or with your paper tracking log.

Once you’ve earned enough points, you’ll receive a completion certificate that you can print and share.

Also, join one of the Ferguson Library storytimes this summer! Find a full schedule on their calendar, here! There will be weekly Outdoor Family Storytime at the Harry Bennett Branch, Weed Memorial & Hollander Branch, as well as at Latham Park. There will also be a Family Storytime indoors at the Main Library. These are recommended for children birth to age 4.

The Ferguson Library’s Teen Summer Learning Program is for kids entering 6th grade through 12th grade. It also begins on Saturday, June 25 and continues through Wednesday, August 31.

Just for joining the Summer Learning Program, you’ll receive a FREE water bottle.

Earn 500 points and become a Teen Summer Learning Club finisher! Earn points by reading or completing Missions. Log your minutes online with ReadSquared or through the ReadSquared app. Readers can also participate with a paper log that can be picked up at any of our branches.
