New Meters Make Parking Easier | Stamford Moms

The parking meters around the City of Stamford have a new look… and their purpose is to make your life easier!

The new “smart meters” are solar-powered and have more visible text to accommodate any weather condition. They also accept credit and debit cards! Previous payment options such as the Parkmobile app or coins are still available.

The new meters provide City officials with live status reporting via text message and email, ensuring that meters will be serviced more efficiently.

The new parking meters will replace about half of the on-street metered parking in Stamford. New parking pay stations are also being installed in all City operated parking lots and garages, including the Springdale and Glenbrook train stations. These new pay stations will work on a pay by plate model. Instead of inputting your space number, you will now be asked to put in your license plate number into the pay station.
