Meet Hannah Muppidi! - Stamford Moms

Hannah Muppidi is a Stamford mom of two and real estate agent on the SK Homes Team at Compass! She’s sharing what she loves about Stamford, how her career led her to real estate and her number one piece of advice for families looking for a new home.

How many kids do you have and what are their ages?
I have 2 children, Flora, 4 and Leo, 2.

What do you love about living in Stamford?
I love to live, work, play and invest in Stamford! Stamford offers so much variety- an energetic downtown and Harbor Point, both with great restaurants and culture, beautiful coastline for enjoying views or water activities, access to nature with beautiful walks through Mianus Park or the Arboretum, and an incredible mix of neighborhoods with character and community. I also strongly believe in the growth opportunity in the Stamford residential market as an investor and an agent.

What are your favorite family activities in the area?
We live in Shippan, and our favorite activity is a family walk, just the four of us (plus our dog!) enjoying the neighborhood. The community feel, the collection of pre-war architecture, and the coastal breeze make it feel like vacation every day. We also love the Stamford Museum & Nature Center, and exploring the many parks in the area.

Tell us about your career and what led you to real estate.
I come from a family business in commercial construction and real estate development, so investing and building have always been my second language. When I decided to go into real estate full time, I pivoted into residential- I love helping find and create the spaces that align with my clients’ financial goals and the way they want to live. I’ve restored four historic homes (and advised clients on many more!) and am currently renovating our 1928 colonial revival in Shippan. I approach every deal with an investor’s lens and a creative eye.

What do you like most about working in real estate?
I love that every day is different- whether I’m negotiating a deal, guiding a renovation, or helping clients see potential where others don’t. It’s deeply rewarding to help people make confident, long- term decisions with their largest asset and create a lifestyle they love.

What led you to the SK Homes Team?
The SK Homes Team at Compass is small but mighty. We’re collaborative, detail-obsessed, and go far beyond the basics to deliver a tailored and elevated experience for our clients. We’re a team of smart women who care deeply and I’m proud to be part of it!

What is your #1 piece of advice for families looking for a new home?
Think long term. Buy with both your lifestyle and your investment in mind. A great home should work for you now- but also grow with you and your family and build value over time. The home you buy today can be used as leverage for your goals in the future.

How do you juggle work and mommyhood?
I’ve learned the art of being nimble. I am a planner and a dreamer by nature but both motherhood and real estate require flexibility and the ability to act in the moment. And I am beyond lucky to have an amazing nanny and incredibly supportive and active husband- nothing is possible without them.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve gotten from another mom?
One of my mentors told me being a working mom is less about balance and more like tennis: just focus on being where the ball is in the present moment. That mindset has helped me stay flexible and grounded in both motherhood and business.
