Local Events Supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month | Stamford Moms

In 2005 Stamford Health expanded its breast cancer awareness message by creating Paint the Town Pink every October to recognize National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The initiative stresses the importance of screening and early detection and spreads the word about the comprehensive breast care services available in the community. The initiative, spearheaded by Stamford Health’s Bennett Cancer Center and Breast Center, includes the development and maintenance of partnerships with area organizations, businesses and corporations, along with the coordination of a month-long calendar of events that take place in Stamford and beyond.

In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness month, Stamford Health will also offer additional time slots for screening mammograms at all of its Breast Center locations – Stamford Health’s Tully Health Center, Greenwich, Darien and Wilton. To be eligible, mention the word “PINK” when you make your appointment. For more information and to schedule an appointment, call 203.276.PINK (7465) or click here!
