How to Drink More Water in 2019! | Stamford Moms

So getting healthy is on your list of resolutions for 2019, right? Well a big part of getting healthy is drinking plenty of water! But with busy schedules, more time spent taking care of little ones than ourselves and no time to think, that can be a tough task for moms. (This coming from someone who recently realized it was noon and she had yet to drink a drop of water). So, I’m guilty too! That’s why I turned to fitness trainer, Lauren Seib for some tips and tricks to get us all hydrated!

Here are Lauren’s suggestions:

1. Infuse your H2O with lemon, cucumber, fresh herbs or your favorite fruit. This will make it seem more exciting and will make you more enthusiastic about drinking it!
2. Bring on the bubbly! Seltzer is another way to break up the plain water monotony and inspire you to sip more!
3. Use an app to track and spark some healthy competition with your hubby or BFF. Waterlogged and WaterMinder are Lauren’s favorites!
4. Treat yourself to a new bottle. If you’re confused by all the options out there, check out Lauren’s recommendations here!
5. Eat your hydration. That’s right! Lots of your fave fruits and veggies (cucumber, lettuce, melon and celery) are loaded with water. Plus, these foods keep you feeling fuller longer.
