DIG, the chef-centric eatery based in New York City, will open in Stamford at the site of the former Bulls Head Diner on Monday, April 24!
We love DIG not only for the fresh, delicious (and quick food options… but also because it’s FAMILY FRIENDLY! The menu is scratch-cooked, featuring nourishing foods with a menu that is rotated regularly to showcase the freshest vegetables of the season. Highlights include everything from salads and composed market plates like the Classic DIG (charred chicken, roasted sweet potatoes, charred broccoli w/ lemon, brown rice w/ garlic aioli) to house made focaccia club sandwiches and pastry selections like cookies, flourless chocolate brownies and sticky carrot cake. Brunch dishes include steak and eggs, waffles with fruit, avocado toast and more. The restaurant offers lunch and dinner daily and brunch on the weekends.
The vibe is casual, with a “make yourself at home” feel. Grab a beer from the fridge or pour yourself a mug of coffee. From family style menu offerings to a kids corner with games and coloring pages, the space aims to be a place for parents to visit when they don’t feel like cooking.
For its grand opening on April 24, DIG will host a knife cutting ceremony and give away free tote bags with Spindrift to the first 100 customers. The first day of proceeds from walk-in sales will be donated to Future 5, an organization that helps motivated, under-resourced students in Stamford connect to their full potential.
The restaurant will be a first-of-its-kind for the brand as it marks DIG’s only standalone location with its own parking lot. There is also a pick-up window to make ordering ahead as seamless as possible.
DIG will be open daily, 11 a.m. – 10 p.m.
