It certainly does seem like there’s a day for everything! But, there are a few that we can really get behind… and National S’Mores Day is one of them! It’s the perfect summertime dessert. Plus s’mores are super fun to make and get the whole family involved in! (Just be sure to closely supervise children around an open flame). Here area a few tips for making the PERFECT s’more.

STEP 1: Gather your ingredients!

The classic s’more requires Honey Maid graham crackers, Jet-Puffed marshmallows and Hershey’s milk chocolate. But… there are a lot of fun ways to vary this combo. Have you tried chocolate graham crackers or even chocolate chip cookies instead of graham crackers? How about a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, white chocolate or dark chocolate instead of milk chocolate? Want colorful s’mores? Try Peeps (if you can find them or have them left over). The great thing about s’mores is you really can get creative!

STEP 2: Decide how you like your marshmallow!

The marshmallow can really make or break your s’more and how gooey it is, is really a personal preference. If you like the marshmallow gooey inside, your best bet is to roast it slowly and be patient. If you like it charred on the outside, it’s a quicker process. But the middle won’t be as gooey. Many times the gooeyness of the marshmallow might have a lot to do with how patient you (or the little person eating it) can be!

STEP 3: Put your ingredients together!

Put all of your ingredients and what have you got? A perfect summer treat!
