5 Day Trip Ideas to Kick Off Summer 2023! | Stamford Moms

If you’re looking for something special to do to kick off summer 2023, look no further! We have a list of 5 day trip ideas that the whole family will enjoy!

  1. Head to Mystic! The drive is about an hour and a half. Leave in the morning and pre-order online (at least the business day before) from Deviant Donuts (you’ll get to skip the line and are guaranteed to get the donuts you want)! Then head to Mystic Aquarium to check out the new Dino Seas Exhibit, see the Beluga Whales, Penguins, Seals and so much more! Once you’re done, head to Downtown Mystic for lunch at The Mariner (or one of the other great restaurants) before stopping by Candy Shop or Mystic Drawbridge Ice Cream for a treat!
  2. Visit NYC! The possibilities are truly endless… but here are a few to get you started:
    1. The Very Hungry Caterpillar & friends are LIVE in NYC only until July 2! Each performance faithfully adapts four of Eric Carle’s timeless stories with a menagerie of over 75 magical puppets, including the star of the show – The Very Hungry Caterpillar. At just under 60 minutes, it’s the perfect show to introduce your little one to the world of live theatre!
    2. Visit Malibu Barbie Cafe for lunch! You’ll be transported to 1970s Malibu California with a sea of Barbie colors, laid-back beachy motifs, and lots of retro glam as you explore the immersive space. Photo ops inspired by Malibu Barbie include an iconic life-size Barbie Box, made for snapping photos!
    3. Enjoy a meal at The Blue Box Cafe! Located at The Landmark, Tiffany’s 5th Avenue flagship store, the cafe is inspired by the iconic Tiffany’s heritage!

Visit one of the beautiful lakes in Litchfield County, CTWhite Memorial Conservation Center nestled against Bantam Lake and Bantam Lake are good for fishing, boating, biking, birding, horseback riding and kayaking.
