2024 4th of July Celebrations In & Around Stamford! - Stamford Moms

Looking for exciting 4th of July celebrations to enjoy with family and friends… and maybe see some fireworks? We have put together a list of exciting events and displays in our area!

Westport Fireworks
Tuesday, July 2 (Wednesday, July 3 rain date)
This is a ticketed event and tickets can be purchased at the Westport Police Department at 50 Jesup Road and at the Parks and Recreation Office, 260 Compo Road South. The fee is $50 per vehicle, cash or check only!

Norwalk Independence Day Celebration & Fireworks
Wednesday, July 3 (Friday, July 5 rain date)
The party will kick off at 5:30 p.m. with a performance by a DJ followed by Funky Dawgz Brass Band at 7:30 p.m. at calf Pasture Beach with fireworks at 9 p.m. Residents will be able to attend the event by parking at the beach. 

Annual Reading of the Declaration of Independence
Thursday, July 4, 10 a.m.
Stamford History Center, 1508 High Ridge Road

Annual July 4th Bike Parade in Fairfield
Thursday, July 4, 10 a.m. – noon
Bring your festively decorated bike, scooter, or wagon to Five Corners in Southport Village and parade to the Great Lawn for some fun and games! Face-painting, sack races, hula hoop contest, and crafts. Free Super Duper Weenie hot dogs. Ice cream, and drinks available. Free and open to the public. All ages welcome. No registration required.

Rowayton Fireworks
Thursday, July 4
Fireworks light up the sky at Bayley Beach starting at 9 p.m. Start off the evening with Funke Your Face, Juice Box and special guests, starting at 4:30 p.m. at Bayley Beach.

Weston’s Family Fourth Celebration
Thursday, July 4, 4:30 p.m. gates open, fireworks around 9:20 p.m. (Friday, July 5 rain date)
Food trucks, glow necklaces and music at the Weston Middle School Field. $20 per car or $5 walk-in admission.

Wilton Fireworks
Thursday, July 4
At the Wilton High School Complex. Live DJ music begins at 5 p.m., followed by fireworks at sundown, approximately 9 p.m. Bring a blanket, chairs and a picnic or visit the multiple food trucks. The event is free, but there is a fee for parking. Advance-purchase only parking passes are available for premium parking lots. Parking pass info available here.

Mamaroneck Fireman’s Carnival Fireworks
Thursday, July 4, 9:15 p.m. Harbor Island Park
Carnival, 6:45 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.

Binney Park & Greenwich Point Park Fireworks
Saturday, July 6 (Sunday, July 7 rain date)
Regular entry rules for Greenwich Point apply. Vehicular access to the Point closes at 8 p.m. or earlier, if parking capacity is reached.

New Canaan Fireworks
Saturday, July 6 (Sunday, July 7 rain date)
Fun for the entire family at Waveny Park including gourmet food trucks, picnicking, children’s games, gathering with friends, and a fireworks display. The local band “Mind The Gap” will perform, 5:30 p.m. – 7 p.m. and the Town Band will play classic, patriotic holiday music, 7:30 p.m. – 9:15 p.m. Non-resident passes are not being sold.

Fairfield Fireworks
Saturday, July 6 (Sunday, July 7 rain date)
Around 9:15 p.m. from a barge off of Long Island Sound so the show can be seen easily from either Penfield or Jennings Beaches. Beach Parking lots can be accessed either with a Season Beach Pass or by purchasing a Daily Pass for $50 per vehicle (credit card only). Daily Passes will be limited to the first 350 vehicles at Jennings Beach and the first 50 vehicles at Penfield Beach.

Stamford Fireworks
Entertainment and food trucks at Cummings Beach beginning at 6 p.m. with fireworks beginning around 9 p.m. Click here for details.

Ridgefield Fireworks
Saturday, July 6 (Sunday, July 7 rain date)
At Ridgefield High School. Gates open at 6 p.m. Parking passes can be purchased in person at Ridgefield Town Hall, Fairfield County Bank branches in Ridgefield & the night of the event (parking lots). In-person transactions are cash only. Parking is available at Ridgefield High School, Barlow Mountain & Scotland. Shuttle buses will be provided to and from Barlow Mountain & Scotland.

The Darien Town Fireworks
Friday, July 12 (Friday, July 19 rain date)
At Darien High School. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. Parking passes required for vehicle entry, walk-ins welcome.
