Ways To Give Back This Holiday Season! | Stamford Moms

Ahead of the holidays, many of us are looking for ways to make sure everyone in our community has a happy holiday season.

That is why we have put together a list of places to donate food, clothing toys, and other necessities, as well as make monetary donations this season. Scroll down for a rundown of places in need of holiday donations.

Join the Filling in the Blanks with Shine a Light on Hunger!
The night before Thanksgiving is a time for family and friends to gather together and prepare for a beautiful meal, but 1 in 6 children in our communities will struggle to have enough food on the table this year. On November 24th at 7pm, all participants will be asked to place the luminary in front of your home or business so we can shine a light on hunger TOGETHER.
Purchase online here and choose your pick up location (Wagon Wheel Wine & Spirits in Stamford is one of them).

Gifts

SilverSource Making Caring Connections

Monetary Donations

A gift of just $20 can provide a family experiencing economic hardship a toy for their child to unwrap this holiday season. This year, like last year due to the pandemic, instead of a wrapped toy, P2P is collecting funds to create special Holiday Bundles, including gift cards, books, and games for our clients. Toys

Building One Community is hosting an annual holiday toy drive! Order items from their Amazon wish list here, so they can be shipped directly to B1C. They also accept $25 gift cards for children’s clothes from stores such as Old Navy!

Matanot Lev brings joy to families in need during the Hanukkah holiday season. We invite them to share their Hanukkah wish lists with Schoke JFS and we pass along these wishes to the community. This year, gifts can be purchased through a wish list. Check Out the Wish List, here! Gifts purchased through our GiveSmart site will be shipped directly to clients, so they can wrap the gifts for their own family members. Donors must create a GiveSmart account to purchase gifts. Gifts must be purchased by Monday, November 15, 2021.
