Voter Registration Deadline is TODAY! | Stamford Moms

It’s a busy day for moms… running around finalizing Halloween costumes, making sure you have enough candy, flashlights, batteries. But, don’t forget that today marks another important deadline, too. It’s the deadline to register to vote ahead of the election on Tuesday, November 6!

Registering is easy! Just click here and follow the instructions.

To use the online voter registration system you must have a current and valid driver’s license, learner’s permit or non-driver photo identification card issued by the CT Department of Motor Vehicles and a signature on file with DMV.

You can use the online system to register to vote in Connecticut, change your name and/or address on your current registration record, enroll in a political party or change party enrollment. You can also use the online system to change your address if you move within your current town of residence. But, if you recently moved, you must re-register to vote in your new town.

TO REGISTER TO VOTE IN Connecticut YOU MUST:

  • Be a United States citizen.
  • Be a resident of a Connecticut town.
  • Be at least 17 years old and must turn 18 on or before Election Day
  • Have completed confinement and parole if previously convicted of a disenfranchising felony.

If you have questions, contact your local Registrar of Voters or the Secretary of the State.
