Beginning this week, the City of Stamford is simplifying how you clean out your closet!
You may have received a package with a bag and instructions in your mailbox last week and wondered what it was. Well, starting on Monday, you can put clothes, shoes, belts, handbags, sheets, blankets, etc. that you no longer want, in the bag and on the curb to be picked up along with your regular recycling. When a bag is picked up, you’ll receive a replacement bag in exchange.
The program is part of a national effort to keep clothing out of landfills as part of the Simple Recycling program.
