The Mead School
Today’s world demands more than memorization; kids need creativity, confidence, and the ability to adapt to a future we can’t yet predict.
That’s why The Mead School, a progressive Infant-Grade 8 school in North Stamford, does education differently. Set within a thirteen-acre forest and a sun-drenched mid-century modern learning space, teachers are on a first name basis with students, parents text teachers directly, and classes are built around curiosity, not worksheets. Math may be learned through games, science outdoors, and passions explored through experiential, project-based learning.
At Mead, kids don’t have to fit a mold—they can show up as their true selves, quirks, sparkles, and all. Creativity is a daily practice, with music, drama, and art six times a week, plus Friday assemblies where every child can choose to take the stage—with performances ranging from K-Pop to comedy. By learning in new ways, kids gain creativity and confidence to break patterns, solve problems, and adapt to a future that doesn’t follow a script.
Mead graduates walk into high school not just prepared for what’s next, but ready to invent it.
