It’s summertime and that means lots of relaxation and play time! But it doesn’t have to mean a break from learning. There are story times available throughout Stamford, many FREE and some even outside!

Ferguson Library

Lawn Chair Stories
June 4 & 18, 6:30 – 7 p.m. at Harry Bennett
Bring blankets & chairs on the lawn for stories. Ages 3 to 5.

Story Time at Commons Park
Harbor Point’s Commons Park
June 4, 11 & 18, 10:30 a.m. Stories for children ages 12 months to 4 years. (Weather permitting)

Baby Time at the Main Library, Weed Memorial & Hollander Branch and Harry Bennett Branch
Traditional verses, bouncing rhymes, board books and more. Pre-walking babies with an adult.
FREE & no registration required!

Mother Goose at the Main Library & Harry Bennett Branch
Rhymes, picture books, flannel boards, music and movement for walking babies up to two years with an adult.
FREE but registration is REQUIRED!

Two’s Company at the Main Library
A special toddler program that features picture books, rhymes, fingerplays, music and movement. For 2 year olds.
FREE but registration is REQUIRED!

Toddler Time at the Main Library & Weed Memorial Hollander Branch
Participatory storytime for a wider age-range of toddlers that includes songs, fingerplays, stories and movement activities. For walking babies up to age 3 with an adult.
FREE… registration is REQUIRED at the Weed Memorial Hollander Branch, NOT at the Main Library!

Budding Bookworms at the South End Branch
Books, songs and movement at this participatory storytime. For ages 18 months to 4 years with adult.
FREE & no registration required!

Introduction to Every Child Ready to Read at the Harry Bennett Branch
Songs, fingerplays, stories, movement activities, as well as a variety of early literacy activities. For ages 2 to 3.5 years.
FREE but registration is REQUIRED!

Step Ahead at the Main Library
A preschool program with stories, music and movement using puppets, flannel boards and videos. For ages 3 to 5.
FREE & no registration required.

Every Child Ready to Read at the Main Library
For ages 3 to 5 years with adult.
FREE, registration is REQUIRED!

Family Storytime at the Harry Bennett Branch
For families with children ages 5 and under.
FREE and no registration required!

Mutt-I-Greed
Tuesdays at 1:30pm
Listen to a canine storytime and visit with a shelter dog for social and emotional learning.

Rhyme Time
Tuesdays at 11am
Classic rhymes and tales with Mother Goose or Dr. Seuss.
For ages 5 years and under.

StoryTime
Fridays at 11:30am
Story and related activity for all ages.

Toddler Tales
Wednesdays 9:45 am – Members Only, 10:30 am – Open to All
Interactive storytime, followed by an art project in Tot Town, for all ages.
