There’s no doubt the fall foliage is a beautiful site, especially in New England! But, when the beautiful leaves fall from the trees and turn brown all over the yard, it’s a headache. So how do you deal with it? There are a few options!
City Leaf Pick Up
This fall, the City of Stamford will allow residents to put their loose leaves curbside for pick up. But there are guidelines you must follow if you want your leaves picked up:
- All loose leaves must be placed at the curb, not on the sidewalk or in the road.
- If leaves are bagged, they may be placed on the road, by the curb as long as they don’t block sight lines or traffic.
- If you bag leaves, there must not be anything in the bag other than leaves
Pick Up Schedule
North of the Merritt Parkway – Leaves must be out by November 12
Merritt Parkway to I-95 – Leaves must be out by November 18
South of I-95 – Leaves must be out by December 2
