SPEF & The Ferguson Library Offer Homework Help! | Stamford Moms

Feel like your kids need a little extra hep during this period of virtual school? The Stamford Public Education Foundation (SPEF) and The Ferguson Library have partnered to launch Home Work Helpers, which provides FREE, online, interactive academic help.

Homework Helpers is available for students in grades K-12, Monday—Friday and complements the distance learning initiatives of the Stamford Public Schools.

The program matches community volunteers (18+ years of age) with students who need additional academic support. Once volunteer helpers are vetted and trained, they meet with their students one-on-one via Zoom. Parents can select the frequency of the sessions and the subject(s) required. It is the program’s intent to provide support across a wide variety of subject areas, including math, English/reading, science, and history.

You can register your child for Homework Helpers, here!

If you’d like to help, SPEF is recruiting, registering, and vetting knowledgeable volunteers to work with students. You can fill out the online application, here!
