The Russian School of Mathematics (RSM) is an award-winning, after-school math program for K-12 students. Named “among the top schools in the world” by the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth, the program helps children of all levels excel in mathematics.
RSM uses the rigorous study of mathematics as a vehicle to develop students’ math fluency, intellect, and character, empowering them for life. The unique approach consists of a continuous K-12 curriculum, taught by expert teachers, in a classroom environment of peers who study together year over year.
Students are guided to think about mathematics logically and conceptually, building deep connections between concepts, all in an environment of their peers that keeps them consistently challenged. And, with multiple levels for every grade as well as a selective competitions program, we are able to best serve each child’s development based on his or her knowledge and ability.
Today, RSM serves over 55,000 students across North America, and has been covered by the Boston Globe, TED, NPR, and the Atlantic.
RSM is currently enrolling for Summer 2022, as well as the Fall 2022/23 school year.
During the summer, the 6-week program runs between July 5 and August 11, with classes meeting twice a week. This summer classes will be offered both in-person at 1100 High Ridge Road in Stamford, as well as in live and interactive virtual classes. Students in grades K – 12 can choose from a variety of math courses including those that will reinforce their knowledge and prepare them for the upcoming school year or math competition courses that will provide them with additional challenges.
During the school year, our students have class once a week, for 36 weeks between September to June.
