Proposed Bill Would Make Breastfeeding Supplies Tax Exempt | Stamford Moms

Connecticut legislators recently introduced a bill that would make breastfeeding supplies exempt from sales and use taxes.

Interested in getting involved? There will be a public hearing on Thursday, February 27 at 1 p.m. in room 2E of the Legislative Office Building, 300 Capitol Avenue, Hartford. If you would like to testify in person, sign-ups will be from 10 a.m. – noon in the first floor atrium of the Legislative Office Building.

Connecticut law now allows mothers to breastfeed their babies in public places and in the workplace. The law also protects employed mothers’ rights to express milk during the workday. Find out more here.
