A new bridge will be installed at exit 9 on I-95 in Stamford this summer. The bridge will be constructed off-site and then installed. But, when it’s being installed, the weekends of May 31 and June 7, officials say there will be a few detours in the area.
Those anticipated closures are below:
I-95
- Cut down to two lanes in each direction, beginning at 9 a.m. ech Friday and will re-open at 5 a.m. each Monday.
- Stamford’s I-95 exit will be closed. Traffic will be detoured onto and off of the exit 9 ramps. Speeds will be reduced to 20 mph.
East Main Street
- East Main Street between Courtland and Seaside Avenues will be closed. Traffic will be detoured to Courtland Avenue and Hamilton Avenue.
