Kelsey Lamoureaux and Sean Pierce are the owners of bluefrog Plumbing + Drain of Stamford! The company recently opened its doors and serves Stamford, Greenwich, Darien, New Canaan, Norwalk, Westport, Weston, Redding and Wilton. They offer residential and light commercial plumbing and drain services. We chatted with Kelsey and Sean about the inspiration for opening their business, their plumbing advice for families this winter and what they love about this area!
What is your inspiration for opening bluefrog Plumbing + Drain of Stamford?
Our inspiration for opening bluefrog Plumbing + Drain of Stamford came from a desire to build a business that genuinely serves our community. When we became first-time homeowners, it felt like we had a plumber at our house every other day. Through that experience, we quickly learned how much of a difference it makes when a service professional truly cares about your home and your situation versus treating you as just another service call or revenue line.
Plumbing issues are often urgent and stressful, and when something goes wrong, you need someone you can trust to respond quickly and look out for your best interests. We wanted to build a locally owned business rooted in trust, transparency, and care for our neighbors. Partnering with the bluefrog franchise allowed us to launch efficiently with strong technology and operational support, while still maintaining full local ownership and decision-making. That balance has enabled us to build a business that feels personal, responsive, and truly connected to the Stamford community.
What is your vision for the business?
Our vision for bluefrog Plumbing + Drain of Stamford is to build a trusted local brand known for quality work, integrity, and exceptional customer care, while also becoming a place where plumbing professionals genuinely want to work. We want every homeowner we serve to feel heard, respected, and well taken care of from the first phone call through the completion of service.
We believe doing what’s right for our customers starts with education, not pressure. Rather than upselling, we focus on clearly explaining the issue, outlining all available options, and empowering our customers to make informed decisions that are best for their home and family.
At the same time, we are deeply committed to our employees. Skilled, licensed plumbers are the foundation of our business, and our goal is to create a workplace where professionals feel respected, supported, and proud of the work they do. We strive to be an employer in the Fairfield County area that plumbing professionals are drawn to and is known for integrity, professionalism, and treating people the right way, so we can continue delivering the high level of service our community deserves.
What do you love most about what you do?
What we love most about what we do is the human connection. Coming from backgrounds in finance and accounting, we spent much of our careers behind computer screens and spreadsheets. Stepping into a customer-facing, community-driven business has been incredibly refreshing.
From answering phone calls to attending local events, we truly enjoy meeting our customers and connecting with other local business owners. But nothing compares to the feeling of helping a family resolve a plumbing issue, especially one that’s causing stress or disruption in their home, and knowing we’ve made their day a little easier. Being able to provide real, immediate solutions and see the impact firsthand is what makes this work so rewarding.

This winter, what are the most important things for homeowners to keep in mind about plumbing.
During the winter months (especially with the extreme cold we’ve been experiencing) protecting your plumbing is more important than ever. One of the biggest risks this time of year is frozen pipes, which can burst and cause significant water damage once they thaw. Homeowners should make sure exposed pipes are properly insulated, keep cabinet doors open in colder areas of the home, and allow faucets to drip during especially cold nights to keep water moving.
It’s also important to disconnect and drain outdoor hoses, shut off exterior water lines when possible, and ensure your home stays consistently heated, even if you’re away. If you notice reduced water flow, unusual noises, or signs of leaks, it’s best to address them early before they turn into larger issues. A little preventative care during winter can go a long way in avoiding costly repairs and stress.
Is there anything else you’d like us to know about your business?

Our goal isn’t just to fix plumbing issues. It’s to build long-term relationships based on trust, transparency, and doing the right thing.
One of the most important things for us to share is how much we value our team. Our employees are the backbone of bluefrog Plumbing + Drain of Stamford, and we’re committed to creating a workplace where skilled professionals feel respected, supported, and proud of the work they do. We believe that when plumbers are treated well, that care carries through to the homeowners we serve.

We’re proud to be building a business that invests in its people just as much as it invests in its customers, and we’re excited to grow alongside the Stamford community.
What are your favorite things to do in Stamford in your spare time?
In our spare time, we love exploring Stamford with our dog, Max. We’re big dog lovers, so discovering great places to walk him around our neighborhood and the city has become one of our favorite things to do. Harbor Point and the Stamford Arboretum are two of our go-to spots, whether we’re out for a long walk or just enjoying some fresh air.
We’re also big coffee lovers and enjoy trying out the local coffee shops around Stamford. And when time allows, running is another favorite—one of the things we love most about Stamford is how accessible it is. I can easily run from our home in the Westover area all the way to Harbor Point, which really highlights how connected and walkable the city feels.

What we love most about living in this area is how much there is to do and how connected everything feels. Stamford offers such a great mix of parks, restaurants, and activities, and it’s incredibly easy to get to surrounding towns and neighborhoods.
