Meet Maura! | Stamford Moms

How many kids do you have and what are their ages?
One daughter who is 13 years old

What do you love about living in Stamford?
Definitely the ambiance, including the restaurants, the gorgeous  neighborhoods, and the convenience of living in a small town where everything is close together!

What’s your favorite restaurant in Stamford?
My favorite restaurants in Stamford are Casa Villa, as well as Kouzina.

Tell us about Kebella Beauty Care.
Kebella Beauty Care is a mother-daughter run online retaile business. All of our products are locally sourced in the U.S.A, organic, eco-friendly, and run by women entrepreneurs. Our purpose is to provide luxurious products to fulfill your needs to reach maximum self-love.

Where did you get the idea for the business?
I began my business in 2020 when I was concerned about the dangerous chemicals that could be in many of the beauty products my daughter and I were using. After this, I went on the hunt to find feel-good products that were safe and organic, and I thought maybe other people would enjoy the convenience of searching one website and finding all organic, amazing products.

Tell us about your products.
Our products are all organic, eco-friendly, locally sourced in the U.S.A, and run by women entrepreneurs. We carry mainly beauty products, such as things from face wash, all the way to foot scrubs. However, we also carry organic chocolate bars, spa headbands, Birthday gifts, beauty baskets, toothpaste, and more!

What is your favorite product?
My favorite product is the Eucalyptus Shower Mist by Freedom. It is wonderful to use not only in the shower, but also on my pillows before I go to sleep. It is super relaxing after a long day’s work! I also really love the deodorant by Freedom, that is aluminum free, and was also started by a mom just like me! I use it everyday and it is really effective, especially since I’m working most of the day.

How do you juggle work and mommyhood?
Though it is difficult, I always try to find a balance between my work and spending time taking care of my daughter. Whether in between shifts at my full time job or packing orders with my daughter for Kebella, every moment counts. Luckily, my daughter is now 13, and can mostly take care of herself. So working together for Kebella is a bonding time for both of us and is really special!

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve gotten from another mom?
The best piece of advice I’ve gotten from a mom is: to truly advance in life you should continue to be resilient, work hard, and set an example for your kids. Then all your hard work will definitely pay off!
