Meet Heather! | Stamford Moms

How many kids do you have and what are their ages?
I have three children. Gunnar (boy) age 7, Auggie (boy) age 5, Elin (girl) age 2.

What do you love about living in this area?
The people!!!!! Everyone has been so friendly, welcoming and open to us since the day we moved in. We are surrounded by such interesting people who have done some amazing things and I love listening to their stories.
What’s your favorite restaurant and/or place to shop in the area?
The Cottage in Westport is my husband and I’s go to restaurant. We love to sit at the bar and enjoy some time just the two of us. If we are with our kids, Colony Grill is the best. The kids love the environment, the food and the staff is always so helpful and accommodating.
What’s your favorite thing to do when you need some “me time”?
Terrain and Tusk Home and Design are my happy places! I love to wander through the store and imagine what my home could look like if my kids didn’t destroy it 🙂
Tell us about your career.
I am originally from Cleveland, Ohio and did all my schooling at The Ohio State University (Go Bucks!). I did my Otolaryngology residency at the Cleveland Clinic where I fell in love with Facial Plastic Surgery. I then did my Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship in Indianapolis.
I began my career in Manhattan, then transitioned to Fairfield County when my family moved here after having our third child. I have so enjoyed caring for my own community and friends since beginning my practice here, and I am blessed to work with an amazing group of people.
At CT ENT Sinus Center Hearing & Balance, I practice the full spectrum of Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery, as well as Facial Plastic Surgery. This includes non-invasive procedures, such as Botox and Fillers, as well as surgical procedures including Rhinoplasty, Facelifts, Blepharoplasty, cancer reconstruction, and removal of lesions. I absolutely love taking care of my patients, making them feel confident and refreshed, and becoming part of their healthcare and facial rejuvenation team!
What do you love about your job?
I love making people feel like their best self! My approach to Facial Plastic Surgery and Rejuvenation is focused on maintenance and preventing the need for surgical procedures. I have found that the use of appropriate skin care regimens and regular injections of Botox and filler can help my patients prevent the aging process and maintain their youthful appearance. My goal is for natural results that allow my patients to look refreshed and healthy. I am my own patient and would never recommend anything that I would not do to myself!
How is plastic surgery changing with new technologies?
New technologies are so exciting these days. They are allowing for more minimal procedures with less down time and natural results. New treatments are helping to prevent the aging process and allowing patients to maintain their youthful appearance in a natural and refreshed way.

We’re so excited to have CT ENT in Stamford! What makes the practice a good fit for this area?
We are so excited to be here! CT ENT is a unique practice that encompasses traditional and alternative care for our patients to meet their needs. We are an extremely dedicated group of physicians and providers that care deeply for our patients and strive for excellence. My approach to facial rejuvenation in particular is unique in that my training in facial plastic surgery allows me to understand the underlying anatomy and scientific reasons for aging. This provides me with the opportunity to correct and prevent the aging process in the most natural way to create beautiful and refreshed results.

How do you juggle your career with mommyhood?
Like any working mom will tell you, it is not always easy! I am so fortunate to work close to home so that I can be available if my family needs me. I also work with a great team that appreciates the importance of family. I try to speak with my children about what I do and why it is important.
I have been bringing them into the office with me since they were babies so they can experience what I do on a daily basis. I work very hard to ensure I am present at all school and sporting events so they know their importance. Hilariously, I have had patients come to see me because my oldest will tell people that his mommy “fixes noses”!
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve gotten from another mom?
Do not allow yourself to feel guilty! Your children will benefit from seeing how hard you work and how much you care about other people. For them to know that others health and happiness are the focus of my day is an amazing example that I hope they imitate.
