Angela Marchetti is a Stamford mom of four and the owner of Tiny Tots, as well as Angela Home & Gardens. She’s talking about what she loves about Stamford (she also grew up here), the upcoming Tiny Tots Consignment Sale in September and the best advice she’s gotten from another mom!
How many kids do you have and what are their ages?
Four!
- Antonio (18) – currently a recruit at Marine Corps Basic Training (aka bootcamp) in Parris Island. Proud mama over here!
- Gemma (16) – my one and only princess (and yes, she knows it).
- Giuseppe aka Beppe (14) – the serious one in the family, which comes in handy with all these personalities running around.
- John Paul Jude (4) – the cutest little boy on the planet. I will not be taking questions on that because it’s simply a fact.
What do you love about living in Stamford?
My roots are firmly planted here. I was born and raised in Stamford, and so was my husband — we’re high school sweethearts. Our kids go to school here too. Both of our parents still live here and our siblings and their families are also located in Fairfield County. Our whole village is here, and honestly, I wouldn’t trade it for anywhere else right now.
Favorite family activities in the area?
The boys are golfers, so you’ll often find them at Sterling Farms or Brennan’s. We love sailing on the SoundWaters schooner and indulging in some of Stamford’s best eats — especially at Columbus Park Trattoria. And honestly, nothing beats my mother-in-law’s homemade pasta there!
When the kids were younger, we spent countless hours fishing and playing at Cove Island and Cummings Beach — just like I did growing up, spending my summers by the water. We also enjoy treating ourselves to ice cream at Sunny Daes, Dairy Queen, or Carvel.
But most Sundays, you’ll find us gathered for Pranzo — around the table at our house or a relative’s. It’s the Italian way. Traditions like this keep our family close, and we want our kids to grow up with those same roots. After all, everyone deserves a plate of pasta and a glass of wine at least once a week… maybe more .
How did you get involved with Tiny Tots?
At first, I was just a shopper… then a consignor. Over time, I became close with one of the previous owners — so close, in fact, that my husband and I are godparents to one of her children. I wasn’t looking to take over Tiny Tots (I had just launched my other business, Angela Home & Gardens), but after praying about it, I said yes when asked. And honestly? It’s been one of the biggest blessings for our family.
Before becoming a business owner, I spent my days as a kindergarten teacher, a FertilityCare practitioner, and deeply involved in philanthropy work. Those roles taught me the power of patience, the joy of nurturing others, and how fulfilling it is to serve the community — values I carry into everything I do today.

What do you love most about Tiny Tots?
The community. The connections. The joy of welcoming new moms to this amazing sale. And the fact that it’s sustainable, green, and full of bargains. Who doesn’t love a good treasure hunt?
Tell us about the upcoming sale.
Our Fall/Winter Sale is September 26–29 at The Loading Dock (375 Fairfield Ave, Stamford, CT). For the first time in a long time, we’re running through an entire weekend — plus we’ve got a special character guest making an appearance at one of our sale days!
What are you most looking forward to?
Making this the best sale yet while also helping local charities. After each sale, many families choose to donate unsold items, which means we can provide coats, boots, books, baby gear, and so much more to families in need right here in our community. The generosity of our consignors is truly incredible.
How can families consign or shop?
Step one: Sign up for our emails so you never miss a thing.
Step two: Follow us on Facebook (Tiny Tots Consignment) and Instagram (tinytotsevents).
Step three: Visit our website for sale hours — and grab a presale pass. Trust me, early access is where the best deals live.
If you want to get paid to declutter, Tiny Tots might just be your new favorite thing. If you’re looking for great deals on gently used kids’ clothing, baby gear, toys, games, sports equipment, costumes, and more — you’ll definitely want that presale pass in your hand before the doors open to the public.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve gotten from another mom?
For those who know me, you’ve probably heard my “Italian mama” sleep method: onesie first, then PJs, plenty of food during the day, a bowl of pastina, and a shower of kisses before bed. But beyond that? Here’s the real advice: Your kids will grow up in what feels like a blink. Yes, you’ll be tired. Yes, there will be days you feel like you’ve lost yourself. Yes, there will be moments when the overwhelm feels bigger than you. But remember — if you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter. The dishes can wait. The laundry can wait. The moments won’t. Lean into the chaos, laugh at the mess (if you can…I don’t do well with that but try to remind myself to), and don’t forget to take care of yourself along the way.
For me, that self-care often looks like being in my garden — planting, pruning, and helping things grow. It’s my therapy, my creative outlet, and my quiet joy in between Tiny Tots sales. Through Angela Home & Gardens, I get to help others create their own dream gardens too, so they can have a space that feeds the soul just like mine does for me.
