Adrianna Rosner is a Stamford mom of two and is the newly elected first female president of the IC Board of Directors. We chatted with Adrianna about what excites her most about the two years ahead, what she loves most about the IC and gives her advice to other women aspiring to leadership roles.
How many kids do you have and what are their ages?
I have two girls, ages 16 and 14. My oldest is in the IB program at SHS. My youngest is currently at Scofield, heading to the IB program in the Fall.
What do you love about living in Stamford?
I love that Stamford offers the best of both worlds. The city has a lot of energy, diversity and offers a lot of opportunities, while the suburbs offer a great family life and a great sense of community. I love having both a city vibe and a beach in close range.
What do you love most about the IC?
What I love most about the IC, first, is that it’s much more than a club, it’s a community where families come together, traditions are celebrated and friendships and memories are made. Everyone feels connected and there is always something happening, and for every age group! Everything from preschool art shows to middle school nights and 80’s murder mysteries there is truly something for everyone. There is definitely a warmth that makes everyone feel like it’s a home away from home. We joined the IC almost 15 years ago because my girls went to preschool here, and loved it ever since.
Congratulations on becoming the first female president of the IC Board of Directors. What does this moment mean for you personally?
Thank you. Becoming the first female President of the IC is very humbling and meaningful to me. I think personally it represents the trust and confidence of this community that I care very deeply about. I’ve been a board member for almost 10 years and my purpose and commitment was always to represent the membership. Hopefully it inspires my girls and the Stamford community. I know my parents are very proud.

IC Executive Director, Jon Hoch and newly elected President of the Board of Directors, Adrianna Rosner.
What are your top priorities as you step into this position?
My top priorities are to build on the IC’s strong legacy while bringing a fresh perspective and leadership to the future. We are entering an exciting multi-year strategic plan focused on expanding and enhancing our facilities, strengthening the member experience, and ensuring the long-term success of the IC for generations to come.
What impact do you hope to make during your time as president of the board?
I hope to make a meaningful impact by honoring the strong foundation our previous Presidents and Board built over the past 100 years, while helping lead the IC into its next chapter of growth and success. Working closely with our Executive Director, Jon Hoch, our focus is to keep strengthening our sense of community, enhance the member experience, and help guide important improvements through our strategic plan.
What experiences do you bring that you feel will be particularly helpful in this position?
My professional background in branding and marketing has given me valuable experience in strategic planning, communication, and understanding how to build strong organizations that continue to grow and evolve. In my current work with special education students, I have developed patience, empathy, problem-solving skills, and the ability to listen carefully to different needs and perspectives. Together, those experiences have prepared me to lead thoughtfully, communicate effectively, and always keep people at the center of every decision.
What advice do you give to other women aspiring to leadership roles?
Believe in your abilities, trust your voice, and don’t wait until everything feels perfect before stepping forward. Leadership is not about having all the answers — it is about showing up, working hard, listening, and leading with integrity. I would also encourage women to support one another, because when one woman steps into leadership, it helps open doors for others to follow.
What excites you most about the two years ahead?
What excites me most is the opportunity to help lead the IC into its next chapter while honoring the legacy that has brought us here. The strength of this club is rooted in the leadership of our past presidents and those who have given their time and vision to build such a meaningful community, and that foundation will certainly continue to guide us.
We are in a position of real momentum, with a strong membership and a clear strategic path ahead. I’m energized to partner with our Board and to support our Executive Director, Jon Hoch, whose day-to-day leadership is critical to our success, along with our dedicated staff and engaged members. Together, we will continue to elevate the member experience and ensure the long-term strength of the club for generations to come.
