Making Pizza: A Family Activity! | Stamford Moms

On the weekends I always like to try to make “fun” dinners that get everyone involved. And pizza has become the perfect option! It’s pretty easy to make, the kids love adding toppings and it’s delicious!

I also probably say this because in my family, making pizza has been a tradition since I was little and it’s been something I’ve really wanted to pass onto my family now. Take a look at our family pizza recipe below! And be sure to try it!

Ingredients

Dough
Olive oil
onions
Can of tomato sauce
Flour
Non-stick spray
Mozzarella (shredded or fresh depending on your preference)
Parmesan
Oregano
Any other toppings you’d like to add!

Instructions:

  1. Take the dough out of the bag, put it in a pizza pan, put a dish towel over it and let it rise. This usually takes about an hour.
  2. Dice the onion, put olive oil in a pan and sauté the onion.
  3. Once the dough has risen, you need to stretch it. Put flour on your hands and on the counter so it doesn’t stick. Roll the dough on the counter and then stretch it gently with your hands to make it into a circle.
  4. Spray the pizza pan with non-stick spray.
  5. Place the dough in the pizza pan and continue to stretch if you need to.
  6. Add tomato sauce, mozzarella, parmesan, oregano and any other toppings.
  7. Put the pizza in the oven at 475 degrees until the sides are golden brown and the top is bubbling.
  8. ENJOY!
