Amanda Dec, a stay-at-home mom of three, based in Stamford is excited to bring her innovative new business to parents and children in Stamford and the surrounding towns. As a mom, Amanda has put the local party venues to good use over the years. However, as her eldest child approached 10 she noticed the type of celebration that she was looking for was not so much play based, but more geared towards spending time with friends.
Inspired by her children’s love of building forts and club houses to play in and following an emerging party trend she saw in the UK, Amanda has created Moonlight Sleepovers. Moonlight Sleepovers puts a new spin on the traditional sleepover party. Moonlight Sleepovers creates an indoor campsite in your very own home. Moonlight Sleepovers brings and set up individual, kid sized tents as well as mattresses, blankets and decorative elements such as lights, bunting and pillows. All carefully curated to match one of the 4 themes currently offered by Moonlight Sleepovers. Guests only need to bring their own pillow, pj’s and of course their favorite stuffed toy! In addition to the tent set up each guest goes home with a sleepover themed goody bag.
Moonlight Sleepovers has themes that are suitable for both boys and girls. The amount of space you have in your home will determine how many guests you can have. However, while we as adults appreciate our space, it does seem that kids aren’t so bothered. Moonlight Sleepovers have been set up in relatively compact spaces and the kids have all been absolutely delighted. We will endeavor to make the space work.
