How to GIVE on Fairfield County Giving Day! | Stamford Moms

Today, Thursday, February 25 is Fairfield County Giving Day!

The event is in its eighth year. It’s powered by Fairfield County’s Community Foundation, Giving Day is the region’s biggest philanthropic event of the year. It’s a 24-hour online giving marathon designed to amplify the amazing work of the nonprofit community, boost staff and volunteer skills that can be used beyond Giving Day, and encourage important giving to your missions.

You are able to choose where your donations go from a list of eligible nonprofits. Donations are made through the Fairfield County’s Giving Day online portal to charitable nonprofit organizations. Contributions may be made via credit and debit card only. Donations will be received and receipted by GiveGab. The minimum donation is $10 and there is no maximum. Each donation incurs a 6.2% fee that is comprised of a 2% GiveGab platform management fee (capped at $20 per donation), 2.2% credit card processing fee + $0.30 for all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover), and 2% administrative fee. You are given the option to cover the fees and if you choose this option, 100% of your online charitable gift will go to the receiving organization. Donations are tax deductible.

Nonprofits also become eligible for prizes based on the number of donations they receive!
