Hebrew Public Charter Schools for Global Citizens has announced the approval of its newest school, OLAM Public Charter School, in Stamford. This will be a free, innovative public charter school opening in Fall 2026. OLAM will initially serve grades PreK, K, and 1, with plans to grow into a full PreK – Grade 8 program in the years to come.
OLAM Public Charter School will provide students from all backgrounds with a rigorous curriculum, supportive learning environment, daily instruction in Modern Hebrew, and a focus on global citizenship.
Modeled after Hebrew Public’s successful schools in NYC and Philadelphia, OLAM will offer a comprehensive curriculum that includes core subjects of English, math, science, and social studies, alongside Modern Hebrew language instruction and specials such as arts, music, and sports. The school’s approach emphasizes critical thinking, cross-cultural understanding, and community engagement, ensuring students are prepared to thrive in a diverse, interconnected world.
Jon Rosenberg, President and CEO of Hebrew Public says, “We are thrilled to bring our proven educational model to families in Stamford. At a time of increasing polarization in our country, our model aims to help children learn a better way: to listen, to communicate with empathy, to bridge cultural differences, to think critically, and to solve complex problems. We believe this not only will help our students to become successful adults, but will also improve their community, our nation, and the world.”
OLAM Public Charter School is part of Hebrew Public’s growing network, which includes directly managed schools in: Brooklyn: Hebrew Language Academy and Hebrew Language Academy 2, Staten Island: Staten Island Hebrew Public and Philadelphia: Philadelphia Hebrew Public. Hebrew Public’s affiliate schools are located in California, Washington, D.C., Minnesota, and New Jersey. Together, these schools serve over 4,000 students at 11 campuses.
Valerie Khaytina, Chief External Officer of Hebrew Public, added, “We’re honored to be part of Stamford’s dynamic community and can’t wait to welcome our first cohort of students in 2026. This is just the beginning of what will be an extraordinary journey for our students, families, and educators.”
