Fun Ways to Celebrate Chanukah Locally! | Stamford Moms

Sunday marks the first night of Chanukah! This week and next week, there are a number of fun ways for the family to celebrate the Festival of Lights in our area. Check out our list, below!

The Community Chanukah Party Featuring The World Series of Dreidel
Stamford JCC
Tuesday, December 17, 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Pizza dinner, latkes, Dreidel playing and tournament including prizes, candle making, music and dance party with David Citrin, pin the flame on the menorah, J Cares Project & community candle lighting.

Giant Menorah Lighting
Latham Park
Sunday, December 22, 4:30 p.m.
Light Fairfield County’s largest menorah. There will be a Gelt Drop and Olive Oil Press, donuts, hot apple cider and latkes!

The Festival of Lights Celebration
The Westchester Mall
Monday, December 23, 5 p.m.
Songs, lighting the menorah, arts & craft activities, giveaways & sweets.

Chanukah House Experience – Family Day Brunch
Chabad of Stamford
Wednesday, December 25, 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Enjoy a family day with pancakes, waffles and eggs. Plus, special guest Bobbie Doowah who will be performing a concert for children. There will also be a chance to give to those in need by baking Challah and making chicken soup for ‘Shabbat 2 Go’ packages.

Appetizers, latke station, raffle, bar, menorah lighting and door prizes with Young Jewish professionals, CT for Jewish Professionals, Singles, and Couples in their 20’s and 30’s.

Arts and crafts for kids, food and fun for the whole family.

The Magic Dreidels

When young Jakob meets a goblin who offers him dreidels that work miracles, the town busybody becomes jealous and Jakob’s father lays down the law. Luckily, the holiday works its own magic as the boy and others learn the true meaning of Hanukkah.

Menorah Parade
Beginning at Chabad of Stamford & ending at Latham Park
Saturday, December 28, 6 p.m.
Join a parade of cars decked out with menorahs as we drive through Stamford culminating with a Giant Menorah lighting at Latham park!
