Ferguson Library Children’s Summer Reading Club Kick-Off | Stamford Moms

Sign up begins this weekend, on Saturday, June 16 for the Ferguson Library Children’s Summer Reading Club! This year’s theme for the children, teen and adult reading clubs is, Libraries Rock! Stop by any of the branches to sign up.

There will be a variety of activities to kick things off at each of the branches throughout the weekend. Take a look at the schedule below!

Saturday, June 16

Weed Memorial & Hollander Branch at 10 a.m.
DIY Instruments for all ages
Drop in to sign up for summer reading and create your own instrument to take home.

Harry Bennett Branch at noon
Family Storytime for ages 5 and under
The whole family can drop in for this weekend storytime.

South End Branch at noon
Ice Cream Social and Face Painting
Join the team, enjoy an ice cream social, and have your face painted.

Main Library, DiMattia Building at 2 p.m.
Bach2Rock: The Science of Sound for ages 5 and up.
Ever rocked out to the electric violin? Caryn Lin will take you on a journey from the classical days of Bach to today, using modern techniques, including looping and other effects to produce unique and dynamic soundscapes.

Friday, June 29

Harry Bennett Branch, 4 – 5 p.m.
Music Tape Resist Art for ages 5 and up

Adult Summer Reading Club kicks off on Friday, June 22 with Stamford’s Downtown ARTWORK and Teen Summer Reading Club on Saturday, June 23!
