Race for the Mayor’s Trophy in the Aquarion Cardboard Kayak Races: Teams will build their boats from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. from supplied materials and race their boats on the Harbor. The race will take place at 3:15 p.m.

Take a Harbor History Boat Tour with the Stamford Historical Society: Enjoy a boat tour of Stamford Harbor and learn all about the colorful history of our great harbor since 1642. Led by the Stamford Historical Society, tours will depart the HarborFest dock at 10:15 a.m., 11:15 a.m., 12:15 p.m. and 1:15 p.m. Seating is limited. Tickets for the Harbor Tour cost $5 per person and may be purchased on-site at the HarborFest Information Tent. 45 minute Schooner Boat Rides with departure times of 11:00 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Try Scuba Diving in the Go Dive Now Pool: The Go Dive Now pool is a 20×30 foot, 15,000-gallon mobile pool. Bring your bathing suit with you. Minimum age for diving is 10 and divers 11 and under must be accompanied by an adult also trying scuba. The Go Dive Now pool is FREE to the public on 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Play a Round of Golf along the Water on the HarborFest Seaside Golf Links: 18-hole mini-golf layout will wind its way through the Harbor Point waterfront bringing lighthouses, wishing wells, windmills and loop de loops into play. A round on the course costs $2 per person.

“Under the Sea” Dog Costume Contest: Sponsored by Spot on Veterinary Hospital and Hotel in Stamford, dog lovers can bring their pets to join in the fun. Starting at 12:30 p.m. in Harbor Point Square. Pets must be dresses in an “Under the Sea” costume.

Kids Boat Building: Not old enough to build a cardboard kayak? Even young children can have fun building a small boat at HarborFest. Children will get instructions from SoundWaters to build and decorate a sturdy, small wooden sailboat that they can take home. Boat building is free and will continue while supplies last so arrive early.

Paint on Canvas, sponsored by Pinot’s Palette: For $10, Pinot’s Palette will provide you with a 10”x10” canvas and all the painting supplies and tips you’ll need to create your marine masterpiece. This is an ideal activity for all ages.

Tour the Boats of Stamford Harbor: Tour and learn about all the important boats that work on Stamford Harbor including the US Coast Guard, Stamford Fire Boat, Stamford Marine Police, Stella Mar Oyster Boat and Schooner SoundWaters.

Tour the HarborFest Village: Dozens of the area’s unique and innovative merchants will be on the HarborFest boardwalk all day with product displays, samples and demonstrations for visitors of all ages.

Oyster Lounge presented by Stella Mar Oysters: Oysters, beer, wine and vodka tastings. Oysters are $1 with 100% of the proceeds returned to SoundWaters; Stella Mar Oyster Company, Harbor Point Wines & Spirits will be offering up tastings. Open at 12 p.m. – 6 p.m.

Eat on the Harbor: Along with the restaurants of Harbor Point Stamford, food trucks have been included in this years festivities. Food Trucks arrive at 10 a.m., including Mama’s Food Truck, Longford’s Ice Cream, Caffe Bon and Wendy’s Weenies and Cholados.

HarborFest supports SoundWaters Long Island Sound education programs.
