PERMANENT SCIENCE GALLERIES: NATURAL CYCLES SHAPE OUR LAND

This exhibit at the Bruce Museum in Greenwich includes a paleontology exhibit. The star of the exhibit is a full size Dilophosaurus who walked along the Connecticut shorelines of the Connecticut Valley 200 million years ago!

THE DINOSAUR PLACE

The Dinosaur Place is a 60-acre Outdoor Adventure Park with more than 50 life-sized dinosaurs on nature trails! You’ll also find a dinosaur-themed maze, two dinosaur-filled caves, and Monty’s Playground, featuring T-Rex Tower.

MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY

The Hall of Ornithischian Dinosaurs at the Museum of Natural History features fossils from one of the two major groups of dinosaurs. In the Theodore Roosevelt Rotunda is the iconic dinosaur exhibit, Barosaurus and Allosaurus… don’t miss the T-Rex!

LASDON PARK & ARBORETUM

Visit the newly updated Dino Trail at Lasdon Park & Arboretum, there you can use your smart phone to scan the Zappar codes on each sign. Meet Lexi the T-Rexy who will give fun facts about dinosaurs. When you’re done, take a photo with Lexi and and post it at #LexiatLasdon! Entry is FREE!

BIG ADVENTURES: DINOSAURS AT STEPPING STONES MUSEUM

Take a trip on the Big Adventures Time Machine to visit a 200,000,000-year-old den of Dilophosaurus dinosaurs, be a modern-day paleontologist, or time detective, seeking an adventure or two while fossil hunting. Jump into the realistic-looking Connecticut ecosystem filled with flora and fauna at Stepping Stones Museum.

DINOSAUR STATE PARK

Explore a paleontological museum and enjoy the outdoors… all in one trip to Dinosaur State Park. The Park features over 750 early Jurassic dinosaur footprints — one of the largest dinosaur track sites in North America — preserved in place viewable inside the museum, alongside exhibits about dinosaurs, fossils, Connecticut geology, and modern live animals.

YALE PEABODY MUSEUM

Admission to The Peabody Museum is free and open to all, with no time or date restrictions for individual visitors. Visit Burke Hall: Life Among Dinosaurs. Featuring fossils that are windows into lost worlds, revealing how, when, and where living things evolved as their environments changed.

SACRED HEART UNIVERSITY’S DISCOVERY SCIENCE CENTER & PLANETARIUM

Nesting With Dinosaurs: Eggs Past and Present is a hands-on exhibition Sacred Heart University’s Discovery Science Center & Planetarium that offers an astounding array of authentic dinosaur eggs and nests collected from all over the globe – including those of each of the major plant and meat-eating dinosaur groups. The exhibit will be open September 2025 – March 2026.
