CLC: Enrollment Open For The Infant Program | Stamford Moms

Looking for a daycare center for your child? Children’s Learning Centers of Fairfield County (CLC) is enrolling infants into their Little Ducklings Program at 64 Palmers Hill Road in Stamford! CLC has a total of eight locations in Stamford and serves nearly 1,500 children and families, providing care to children six weeks to five years old.

What does the program look like?

The infant room offers care for children six weeks to 1.5 years old. From there, children move to the toddler room until they enter Preschool at three years old. In the infant and toddler rooms, the student-teacher ratios are 4-1 for infants and toddlers. The daily infant routine follows each child’s schedule to reflect their individual needs. During their day at CLC, infants are discovering sights, sounds and the feel of their world. The Infant/Toddler Program uses the Creative Curriculum for Infants, Toddlers and Two’s which emphasizes the importance of responsive, trusting relationships and experiences during a child’s first three years of life.

Are there any outside the classroom opportunities for the children?

There are indoor and outdoor play areas specially designed for infant and toddler development and fun. As children get older, special programs include music, reading and science. Children also gain experience through the CLC’s partnerships with organizations like the Stamford Museum and Nature Center, Stepping Stones, Bruce Museum, Maritime Aquarium and more.

The Teachers

CLC head teachers and assistant teachers hold college degrees, generally in early childhood education or a related subject, or hold a Child Development Associate. Other support staff includes nutrition, health and family services.
