With more than a week off from school coming up, it can be overwhelming to figure out how to keep the kids entertained for all that time! No one wants to hear “I’m bored” 40 times a day! Below you’ll find a list of events and activities to help you plan out the 11 day break and keep everyone happy!

Popcorn and a Movie
Wednesday, December 26 at 1:30 p.m.

The Black Candle – A landmark documentary film that uses Kwanzaa as a vehicle to explore and celebrate the African-American experience. Narrated by world-renowned poet Maya Angelou, it’s an inspirational story about the struggle and triumph of family, community, and culture. Not rated. 71 minutes. All ages.

Children and their families are invited to a celebration counting down to the New Year without staying up late! Enjoy stories, crafts, music, and dancing, concluding with a balloon drop.

Animal Embassy

Join Animal Embassy and explore the many ways that different animals prepare for the challenges of winter. Animal Ambassadors include a rabbit, an African bullfrog, South American chinchillas, an axolotl, a duck and more. Ages 4 and up.
