Celebrate Summer with Make Music Day in Stamford Downtown! | Stamford Moms

The second annual Make Music Day in Stamford Downtown is on Friday, noon – 8 p.m. The event is a mix of 21 free outdoor musical events.

Make Music Day Stamford Downtown is part of the global Make Music Day celebration. It takes place on the summer solstice each year and brings people of all ages and skill levels together to make music.

Make Music Day began in France in 1982 as the Fête de la Musique, and has spread to over 800 cities across 120 countries. From classical to folk, hip hop to opera, Latin jazz to punk rock, live music of all types will resound in public spaces on the longest day of the year!

Venues include Latham Park, Columbus Park, Kiwanis Park, Old Town Hall, Ferguson Library Plaza, Stamford Government Center, Stamford Art Association, HARMAN Street Studio on Bedford Street and Acuario Restaurant. There are 21 confirmed performances.
