We hope your summer has been full of laughter, pool, beach and play time! While Wednesday, August 30 does mark the beginning of a new school year for Stamford Public School students, there is still plenty of time to soak up and ENJOY this last month of summer.

- Grab coffee or ice cream downtown and check out Duck, Duck, Goose in Stamford Downtown
- Race & play at RPM Stamford’s go-kart track, arcade and bowling lanes
- Watch a movie outdoors
- Make a splash at Slide City Water Park, the world’s first all inflatable pop-up waterpark at Danbury Fair beginning August 15
- Grab breakfast, have a picnic at West Beach and play on the playground
- Enjoy the sunshine at a beer garden
- Rent a kayak or paddleboard through SoundWaters
- Head to the Sunday Summer Concert Series at Bartlett Arboretum
- Visit Designs by Lee to shop for your garden, play on the playground and visit the goats
- Go for a hike… we love Mianus River Park, Bartlett Arboretum, Stamford Museum & Nature Center and Greenwich Audubon Center
- Check out Summer Fun Thursday, 3 p.m. at Stamford Town Center and grab a treat from Cretzel’s or Pink Sweet Cakes
- Shop local at a farmers market
- Grab coffee and play in the sand on the boardwalk at Harbor Point (bring the kids’ scooters or bikes and ride on the boardwalk) and play in the splash pad at Triangle Park
- Go swimming at Dorothy Heroy Pool

- Participate in one of the Ferguson Library’s outdoor story times at Commons or Latham Park

- Drop-in for an activity at Chelsea Piers
- Visit one of the museumes offering free admission through CT Summer at the Museum

- Head to Rye Playland for a day of rides, games, beach and pool
