Creating an extra dose of holiday magic, the brand-new Holiday Stroll will transform Mill River Park in Downtown Stamford into a true Winter Wonderland this Holiday Season. With sights, sounds, Santa and enchantment for the entire family, the walk-through experience opens November 26 and will run on select dates through January 9, 2022.
‘Holiday Stroll’ to feature more than 70 larger-than-life holiday displays—from skating polar bears to the Twelve days of Christmas, to reindeer in training—as well as a state-of-the-art 30-foot Christmas tree, Holiday Music, Food Vendors, The Half Full Brewery Winter Beer Garden and a Christmas Village, among other holiday delights.
After strolling through the park, attendees will experience Holiday Stroll’s ‘Christmas Village’, featuring live appearances by none other than ‘Santa & Mrs. Claus’, plus Christmas Caroling by the acclaimed ‘Connecticut Yuletide Carolers’ (select dates). And not to be missed, a custom-designed 30’ interactive Christmas tree (featuring thousands of sparkling high-resolution lights that dance with color and animated imagery in unison to your favorite songs). The Christmas Village will host vendors, including ‘Little Nero’s Pizza Pop-Up Shop’ (as featured in the movie ‘Home Alone’) as well as music and fun photo ops while the Half Full Brewery Winter Beer Garden will offer up Half Full Brews, Cider, Wine and Seasonal Treats.
“Whether you love bright lights, candy canes or your favorite Christmas song, the Holiday Stroll offers something special for everyone, and we can’t wait to share this wonderful immersive experience with families and friends from Stamford and beyond,” said Ilario Altamura, Parachute Concerts. “With the understanding that many families weren’t able to get together to celebrate the season last year, we worked hard to create this magical, safe experience for all ages to enjoy.”
In an effort to make more children’s wishes come true, the Holiday Stroll is hosting the Stamford Toy Drive. Attendees and community members are encouraged to donate a new, unwrapped toy appropriate for ages 4 to 12. Donations will be accepted during event hours through Dec. 19.
“We hope that the community is willing to share the holiday spirit with kids and families in need and appreciate toys and donations of all sizes,” Altamura added.
