If you’re looking for a way to have an impact on the Stamford community while making meaningful connections , The Stamford Garden Club may be the perfect fit!
It was founded in 1921 as a gathering of local women and gardening enthusiasts with a love of plants and community improvement. At that time, members beautified prominent public spaces, including landscaping around the Stamford Railroad Station.

Mia Schipani is a Member and Co- Chair of Visiting Gardens Committee for The Stamford Garden Club. She is sharing her experience!
Why did you decide to get involved with The Stamford Garden Club?
I have always loved plants and flowers and when I bought a house in Stamford, I inherited a professionally designed garden that I needed to maintain and so I wanted to learn more about gardening myself vs. paying my landscaper.
What has been your biggest achievement as a member of The Stamford Garden Club?
Contributing to the awareness of all our amazing community and civic projects.

What do you want local families to know about your organization?
That we encourage anyone who is passionate about horticulture, gardening, conservation and learning to get involved. Our club is part of The Garden Club of America and the Federated Garden Clubs of Connecticut which gives us access to the best resources and benefits, including garden tours and education.
