February Youth Training at Soccer Fun Zone

On Fridays in February (3, 10, 17 & 24), Soccer Fun Zone is offering free training for kids. 4 p.m. – 5 p.m. for boys & girls, ages 4 & 5. 5 p.m. – 6 p.m. for boys & girls ages 6 & 7.

Visit the Whittingham Discovery Center at Mill River Park

The Whittingham Discovery Center features an interactive exhibit space that teaches visitors about Mill River Park’s history and the city’s connection to nature and highlights how natural spaces, like the park, make the city of Stamford more resilient in the face of climate change and increasing storm frequency.

Schedule:
Monday – Thursday: 4 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Friday: 4 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Sunday: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.

Sunday Funday is held at 10 a.m. on Sundays through March 5 and features a story and craft!

Join a Makerspace Activity at the Ferguson Library

The Makerspace is located in the Technology Center on the third floor of the DiMattia Building in downtown Stamford.

The next one is on Friday, February 17 at 2 p.m. for grades K-5 to build with Legos!

Storytimes at the Ferguson Library Branches

The Main Library in Downtown Stamford, Harry Bennett Branch, South End Branch and Weed Memorial & Hollander branches all host story times including baby story time, family story time, a bilingual story time and more! Check the calendar, here for a schedule. Storytimes are available throughout the week for kids infant through 5 years old!

Visit the Bruce Museum

The Bruce Museum is undergoing renovations. The permanent science exhibits (including a paleontology and marine ecosystem exhibits) are open! Admission is currently “pay as you wish” until April 2, 2023. Open 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Tuesday – Sunday. Bruce Beginnings programs for children 2.5 – 5 years old are on Tuesdays at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. with a different theme each week! There are also often special events for families on Sundays.

Visit the Norwalk Art Space

The Norwalk Art Space is located at 455 West Avenue in Norwalk and open Wednesday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. Saturday & Sunday, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Admission and classes are always FREE.

Visit Grace Farms

Grace Farms is located in New Canaan and admission is FREE. Open Tuesday – Saturday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Sunday, noon – 5 p.m. Open Arts Studio for Families is $5 per child and held on Thursdays, 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. & Saturdays, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
