2022 Christmas Tree Pick Up In Stamford | Stamford Moms

The City of Stamford will begin curbside pick up of Christmas trees in the end of January 2022.

In order for your tree to be picked up, please be sure it is placed at your curb no later than January 15. The City says it will only make one round of pick ups.

If you’d like to dispose of your tree sooner, you can take it to either the Katrina Mygatt Recycling Center located at 130 Magee Avenue or the Scale House located at 101 Harborview Avenue.

  • The Scale House is open 6 a.m. – 2 p.m., Monday – Saturday.
  • The Katrina Mygatt Recycling Center is open 7 a.m. – 2 p.m., Tuesday – Saturday.

The City’s Recycling and Sanitation Department will begin picking up Christmas trees at condominiums on the week of January 17, weather permitting. This process will take approximately two weeks. Click here to read more

Be sure that when you place your tree at the curb for pick up it does not have any decorations on it. Do not put your trees in a plastic bag or wrap it in plastic. Remember, no brush, grass clippings or bulky waste will be picked up. Plastic Christmas trees will not be picked up.
