As a parent, you want your child to enjoy this stage, while building the right skills for the steps ahead.

We offer a program that gives you both; teachers who cherish this important time, and curriculum recognized by parents and teachers for helping children build the social and academic skills needed to be ready for school.

The Catholic Academy of Stamford’s PreK 3 and PreK 4 program is a social, emotional and academic program. We believe everyone is an individual and we encourage them to be the best they can be. Grades PreK3 through grade 5, caters to students at the beginning of their educational journey.

Personalized learning is integrated early on. We work with students and their parents to develop individualized curriculum based on the students’ unique talents and interests. Our small class sizes facilitate master-level teaching allowing for a better, technology-based education coupled with one-on-one attention.

There are limited available seats in limited grades.

Parents are invited to attend in-person Open Houses and Take a Look Days in November and January. Please check our website for dates and times. CP Kids is a place for young children to learn through play and actively develop their language, cognitive, social/emotional, and motor skills. Children are given concrete experiences to encourage them to interact with the world around them and explore new ideas and materials. An integrated curriculum is utilized to reinforce themes and understanding.

The CP Kids toddler and preschool children participate in several extracurricular activities each week. These activities bring them into the Chelsea Piers facility daily and allow them to exercise their bodies so that their minds are ready to learn!

Every day students fan out in our spacious, light-filled classrooms where they can choose from among many good paths to learning. They immerse themselves in open-ended materials that encourage them to test their hunches, and explore art mediums such as paint, clay, collage, construction and pencil drawing that encourage the non-linear thinking, experimentation and risk-taking so crucial to creative expression. Our sophisticated music program takes them on an enthralling journey that begins with the discovery of their own voices—children’s first instrument—and progresses so that they can eventually read and write music too.

Our Infant Program
The Cottontails Childcare & Learning Center Infant program prioritizes a nurturing, loving environment, honoring a family’s at-home routine. We will create personalized care plans to support an infant’s daily schedules and individual needs. Our highly trained teachers give individualized attention and care to each infant. Teachers focus on providing infants with engagement and stimulation through social interactions, including talking, playing, moving, reading, and singing. Infants will be provided with opportunities to explore using their different senses. Our infant classroom environment includes plenty of opportunities for growth and learning.

Our Toddler Program
Young children learn best by doing. Learning requires active thinking and experimenting to find out how things work. We believe children need to explore daily with all their senses. Exciting development occurs as children play, and this play becomes the foundation for academic success. Our toddler teachers will support development by creating meaningful learning experiences for children. Teachers will encourage exploration, creativity, inquisitiveness, and independence while continuing to provide the support and love every young child needs. Toddlers will be encouraged to ask questions and solve problems with peers. This will support young children’s growth and development through social learning experiences. Play is the work of young children.

Our Preschool
Preschool is a critical time for learning and development, as children are preparing for their transition into kindergarten. Cottontails strives to make this an easy integration by encouraging critical thinking, independence, and creativity. Teachers will create meaningful learning experiences that ensure every child is given the opportunity to practice the skills described in the CT-ELDS. While free play will still be encouraged in our preschool classrooms, we will also begin to integrate a more structured curriculum. Through a mixture of independent play and teacher led learning, children will develop important critical thinking and reasoning skills.

At The Education Station, play is serious learning!

Our full-day program not only provides essential school readiness skills but also includes swim lessons, music and Spanish enrichment.

Children are also given the opportunity to add soccer and tennis lessons during nap time and at the end of the school day!

The First United Methodist Preschool & Kindergarten (FUMNS) play based curriculum encourages each child to be actively involved in the learning process.

High interest, open-ended activities allow the program to fit the child rather than the child fit the program. Children go outside daily to enjoy free play, art, science, gardening and other activities on our playground. We have field trips and in house visits from Bookmobile, Nature Center, etc. Extended Day/Enrichment Offerings like Fun Fitness, Storybook Cook, Building Club and more.

Growing Minds Daycare & Learning Center is located at 1435 Bedford St., Suite 1E, Stamford, CT. 06905.

We are licensed to care for children 6 weeks – 5 years old.

King Schoolunlocks the power of wonder, and students PreK-12 become agents in their own learning.

Starting at age 3, students in our early childhood program explore the world around them through an approach to teaching and learning known as the Reggio Emilia-inspired methodology. This child-centered and self-guided method allows students to explore, make connections, and learn from their environment.

My Gym Stamford’s Preschool Prep is a 3 hour drop off program for children ages 3 years old.

It focuses on giving them the skills needed to excel in preschool and beyond! Our Preschool Prep children will transition into preschool and kindergarten with confidence and a love for learning!

New Canaan Country School is a co-ed, independent day school for students in Pre-K (ages 3 & 4) through Grade 9 living in Westchester and Fairfield counties.

Graduates excel at top day, boarding and public secondary schools and go on to lead lives of impact and purpose.

Sound Beach Day School is a private progressive preschool influenced by the Reggio Emilia and Project Approach philosophies dedicated to enrich the lives of preschool children in the community.

We are nature and play based with an emphasis on the child’s interest. Class size is small to enable project work and individualized learning taught by a highly educated staff. We educate children from 20 months to 6 years old, across all learning domains.
