Meet Tati! | Stamford Moms

How many kids do you each have and what are their ages?
I have one child. Benjamin is 14 months old.

What is your favorite family activity in Stamford?
We love going on nature walks, having breakfast and play time at Honey Joes, indulging in ice cream at Gofers after dinner and swimming lessons at the Italian Center.

What do you like about living in Stamford?
I love the convenience and the practicality of the day to day being a working mom, having everything close by while being able to also enjoy the serene setting and privacy of our home and backyard is amazing.

Tell us about your career.
I founded and created Posh Portable Play which keeps me very busy. It’s an aesthetically pleasing luxe softplay rental company for childrens parties. In addition to owning and operating Posh, I have been a full time real estate since 2016, helping buyers and sellers in Stamford, Greenwich and Norwalk.

What is your inspiration behind Posh Portable Play I LOVE the idea!
Thank you! After struggling to entertain my baby and now toddler at parties, I knew I had to come up with a solution. The idea behind it was to please the modern day mom (and dad) while also keeping the children engaged, safe and happy at other people’s homes and event. It’s a win for everyone!

What is Posh Portable Play and what makes it unique?
Posh is a softplay rental company that features neutral colored foam soft play equipment, ball pits and white bouncy houses. What I love about Posh Portable Play is that we really strive to customize every single party to fit the theme really well. I have an eye for design and pay close attention to every little detail that will perfectly help tie in the theme to make the event a memorial one for the host and party guests.

What is your secret to throwing the perfect kids’ party?
My secret to throwing a kids party is to make a rough schedule of how you want the party to flow, and then ask a close friend or family member to set timers and remind you to stick to the schedule. Hosting is fun, but also exhausting and forgetting to bring out certain foods/cake is a common mistake that we all do when we’re having too much fun!

How do you juggle work and mommyhood?
Everyday is a different adventure at our house. Having childcare help is an essential, of course. However, when I am spending time with my son, I try my best to put away my phone and take in every single moment I get with him. Whenever he naps and goes down for the night is when I find myself most busy with work.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve gotten from another mom?
The best piece of advice I’ve gotten from another mom is to just enjoy the ride. “The days are long but the years are short”. I’ve learned to not stress about the mix matching outfits and messy playroom, but rather making memories every single day because they do grow so fast!
