How many kids do you have and what are their ages?
One daughter named Taylor who is 7-years-old!

What do you love about living in Stamford?
I’m originally from new York so I love the diversity here and the family environment.

What’s your favorite restaurant and/or place to shop in Stamford?
I love Jerkyz and Mecha Noodle Bar.

Tell us about your business!
I am a childcare provider and owner I have 5 locations all located in Stamford.

What is the inspiration behind your business?
I was working 3 days a week 16 hours and I had to travel to New York for childcare because I couldn’t afford childcare in Stamford. I wanted to spend more time with my daughter and I knew I couldn’t afford to leave my job and pay for childcare closer to home so I opened my home daycare and expanded within the first year because there was such a need for childcare in Stamford.

Tell us about the event you have coming up, You Glo Girl, Women Empowerment Brunch & Pop-Up Shop.
The woman empowerment event will consist of 6 woman with different careers some entrepreneurs and some from corporate. We will have a panel discussion then brunch and some time to mingle. Before the panel discussion starts we will have a pop up shop with all woman vendors. We have a woman chef, DJ, vendors and all our guest are women.

What got it started?
I started you Glo Girl originally as a way to connect and make friends at my age. It grew once we had our first meet up brunch then we had a girls trip and everything just took off from there.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve gotten from another mom?
Make time for yourself and know that you’re doing a great job don’t be so hard on yourself and enjoy the moments even the bad ones because our babies grow so fast.
