Meet Angel! | Stamford Moms

How many kids do you have and what are their ages?
I have 7 years old twin girls.

What do you love about living in Stamford?
I love living in Stamford because it offers the best of both worlds. We’re fortunate to be nestled close to major cities like New York, allowing us quick access to all the attractions and excitement the city has to offer. Yet, we also cherish the tranquility of our home, where our kids can frolic in the yard and enjoy outdoor playtime. The convenience of easy commutes to my children’s school, nearby beaches, scenic hiking trails, and a diverse array of restaurants adds to the appeal of our vibrant community. What truly stands out is the warmth and support of our neighbors, who embrace and uplift mom entrepreneurs like me, fostering a strong sense of fellowship and collaboration. Living in Stamford is not just about proximity to urban adventures; it’s about finding balance, connection, and endless opportunities for both relaxation and exploration.

What’s your favorite restaurant and/or place to shop in Stamford?
For restaurants, we love Café Silvium, Capital Grille, Barcelona Wine Bar, Colony Pizza and Hope Pizza.

Tell us about Photograph by Angel.
At Photograph By Angel, we specialize in capturing the most precious moments in life, focusing on maternity, newborn, cake smash, and family photography. As a mother myself, I’ve come to understand that motherhood and family are the most beautiful legacies parents can leave behind. It’s this deep appreciation for the bond between loved ones that drives me to deliver stunning imagery for every family I have the pleasure of meeting.

My goal is to capture your unique story through each session, ensuring that every photo reflects the essence of who you are. Whether it’s the tender moments of pregnancy, the fleeting innocence of a newborn, the joy of a cake smash celebration, or the warmth of family togetherness, I strive to preserve these memories in a way that resonates with your heart.

I invite you to entrust me with the opportunity to capture your story through photography. Together, we’ll create timeless images that celebrate the love, laughter, and connections that define your family. I can’t wait to meet you and embark on this journey together.

What is the inspiration behind your business?
The inspiration behind my photography business stems from my lifelong love for capturing moments. It all began during my time as a flight attendant, where I had the privilege of witnessing and immortalizing the beauty of the world through my lens. However, it was when my girls came into this world that my passion for freezing moments truly ignited. Seeing the rapid changes in my daughters’ lives reminded me of the fleeting nature of time. Each precious moment seemed to slip away in the blink of an eye, compelling me to pause and preserve these memories so we could cherish them for years to come. Thus, my desire to capture the essence of fleeting moments and create lasting memories for families was born.

What is your favorite place to do family photos?
I find myself drawn to open field parks and beaches as my favorite places to take pictures. These locations offer stunning natural lighting that can truly enhance the beauty of the subject when captured at the perfect moment.

What is your goal for each photo session?
Ultimately, my goal is to provide my clients with timeless memories that they can cherish for a lifetime. I strive to create images that not only look beautiful but also evoke powerful memories and emotions every time they look back on them. By preserving these moments in time, I hope to leave a lasting legacy that brings joy and happiness to my clients for years to come.

What is your #1 tip for moms when it comes to having a successful photo session?
When photographing children, it’s essential to let their personalities shine through. Embrace their natural energy and curiosity instead of trying to force them into stiff poses. Candid shots often capture the true essence of childhood better than posed ones. So, let them run, play, and be themselves – you’ll end up with photos that are authentic and full of life.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve gotten from another mom?
I experience great joy from assisting my girls with their daily routines, whether it’s helping them get ready for school, dressing them, or preparing their breakfast. However, my fellow mom friends often remind me of the importance of fostering independence in children. While it’s challenging to let go of these moments of attachment, I recognize the value in gradually encouraging my girls to become more self-sufficient. Perhaps I can begin by slowly delegating certain tasks and empowering them to take on more responsibilities over time. It’s a journey of gradual steps towards independence that I’m willing to embark on alongside my daughters.
