Nights Out: Seed Sowing: Native & Heirloom Plants

April 24 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Eco-type and heirloom are current buzzwords in the plant world. Discover what these terms actually mean, how we define them, and why they make great choices for your gardens. We’ll sow some native eco-type plants like milkweed and New England Aster, as well as some heirloom fruits and vegetables, including tomatoes. We’ll also provide information on where and when to introduce these plants to your garden.

After all your hard work, relax with some light refreshments and learn about some of Connecticut’s lesser-known crops in a session of “Does in Grow in Connecticut” trivia.
All materials for sowing seeds will be provided.

Members: $30
