Change in Stamford Public Schools Quarantine Requirements | Stamford Moms

After review of the current Federal and State recommendations as well as local data, The Stamford Department of Health has provided the following update to Stamford Public Schools’ quarantine recommendations.

If students or staff who are required to quarantine do not exhibit any signs or symptoms of COVID-19, they may return to school after 10 days (instead of 14).
Additionally, in the elementary schools, instead of automatically quarantining an entire classroom, if one person tests positive, the district will utilize current contact tracing protocols for determining those who are close contacts, and only those students or staff members identified as such (if they are not fully vaccinated) will need to quarantine.
For more details, go to the COVID-19 Reopening page FAQs on the district website, which will be updated by the end of the week.
