Make Your Own Bagel Board! | Stamford Moms

by Kelly Fazzino, Founder of Slim Pickings Grazing Trays

While we are all home, doing our best to stay safe and healthy comes more homemade meals, with less access to groceries than ever before.

Looking for ways to maximize what’s in your pantry? Build a fun and delicious bagel boards that the whole family can enjoy!

The first ingredient you will need is bagels! I used Pepperidge Farm frozen mini bagels but any type of bagel that your family enjoys will do. Toasted or untoasted… it’s up to you!

Collect all the items from your fridge and pantry that you can imagine on a bagel.

(pictured above)

Cream Cheese
Peanut Butter
Mayo
Nutella
Avocado
Tuna Fish
Eggs

(not pictured) but also delicious & handy:

Butter
Cheese
Tomato/Pizza Sauce
Hummus

Collect some toppings:

Bacon
Deli meats
Tomatoes
Fruit
Mini Peppers
Capers/Olives
Sprinkles
Greens, such as spinach or lettuce
Herbs, such as scallions or dill seasonings

Go ahead and build your bagels!

You can spread all the ingredients out on the table and get the whole family involved. Think of some classic combos like PB&J or PB & Banana, Cream Cheese and Tomato, BLT.  If I had it onhand, I would have made a Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese with dill and capers, YUM!

Once the bagels are built assemble on a tray, vote on your favorites, like most colorful/most delicious/most outrageous. Have fun with it! Or just eat and enjoy!

Enjoy & Stay Well!
